The Pre-Approval Process
After carefully determining your budget and calculating how much you can afford to purchase your next home, the most important step in the home buying process is obtaining a preapproval letter from a lender. The process involves submitting a mortgage application and providing various documents related to income, employment, and credit history.
The lender will review the information provided, perform a credit check, and verify employment. Based on this information, they will determine how much they are willing to lend, as well as the interest rate and terms of the loan. If approved, you'll receive a preapproval letter to demonstrate your ability to obtain financing when making an offer.
